Vacuum Pump: Testing and Inspection

Preliminary operation:
Check function of central locking, See: Body Control Systems/Testing and Inspection/Component Tests and General Diagnostics

Prepare for testing 

Numbers 1 - 3.

Check supply pump vacuum 

> 450 mbar in <= 3 seconds.

Check supply pump pressure 

> 450 mbar in <= 3 seconds.

Check the safety switching time by separating the supply pump from the line system

< 30 seconds with central locking and interior central locking. 
< 70 seconds for the auxiliary consumers, vacuum, and orthopaedic backrest.

Preparing test

Connect reservoir with distributor piece to the tester for vacuum and pressure Systems.

Remove supply pump and seal pneumatic distributor plug. (Do not remove cable harness). See: Service and Repair
