Oil Spray Jet: Service and Repair
NOTE: Numbers in parentheses ( ) indicate a component or tool in the associated illustration.
1. Remove oil pan.
2. Remove oil shield.
3. Position piston of oil spray nozzle to be removed (7) to TDC.
4. Unscrew bolt (11).
5. Remove oil spray nozzle (7) with suitable pliers.
6. Reverse procedure to install, being sure to tighten bolt (11) to 10 Nm.
NOTE: The oil spray nozzles are discontinued as of 1/94. The piston crowns are cooled through optimized drillings in the conrods and conrod
bearings.
