Dear Mercedes-Benz Owner:

This is to advise you that the rollbar switches at the rear axle of some Mercedes-Benz 300SL and 500SL cars may have been adjusted incorrectly at the
time of assembly. This was discovered during routine maintenance checks. As a result, the timing for the automatic operation of the rollbar may not be as
designed.

It is important that you contact your local authorized MercedesBenz dealer for an appointment to have the switches checked and adjusted. This
procedure takes less than an hour and will, of course, be performed at no charge to you. In the meantime, you should take the precaution of driving with
the rollbar in the raised position until the switch adjustment has been completed.

We regret any inconvenience this may cause but in the interest of your safety it is necessary to make this minor adjustment to your vehicle.
