disc. It is now incorporated into a groove in the outside diameter of the thrust piece. The cover disc on this version has been disconnected. With the
exception of the O-ring, the components of either the first and second versions cannot be interchanged.

1.

Remove screw plug.

2.

On first version oil pump drives, remove cap and O-ring.

3.

Remove retaining bolt and thrust piece. If thrust piece binds, install screw plug and turn slightly. Then using a suitable tool, remove screw plug
and thrust piece.

4.

Using suitable needle nose pliers, remove oil pump drive and bearing bushing.

5.

Reverse procedure to install, note the following:

a. Check thrust piece. If worn, replace thrust piece.
b. Check O-ring, if worn, replace.
c. Torque locking bolts to 18-33 ft. lbs. (25-45 Nm).
d. Torque screw plug to 37 ft. lbs. (50 Nm).
