Evaporator Core: Service and Repair

NOTE: The following procedure was compiled from field experience.

Removal

1. Remove evaporator housing. See: Evaporator Case/Service and Repair 
2. Remove expansion valve and plug fitting ends.
3. Remove evaporator temperature regulator (ETR) mounting screws and carefully remove ETR switch with capillary making sure to apply

counterhold to guide tube.  

CAUTION: If special care is not taken when removing ETR capillary damage to evaporator core and/or capillary may occur.
