Front Axle Pressure Reservoir, Replace

1.

Move system adjusting switch on instrument panel to ``N'' position.

2.

Raise and support front of vehicle. When front of vehicle is raised, the loss of wheel load will move level controller levers to the ``emptying''
position, resulting in depressurization of the corresponding suspension elements. Because the central reservoir must remain pressurized, it may be
necessary to pressurize it by running engine for 30 seconds at approximately 2500 RPM. If the central reservoir cannot be pressurized, release
pressure from suspension elements by carefully opening the breather or one pressure line connection from each.

To remove left side reservoir, proceed as follows:

a. Remove left front wheel and tire assembly.
b. Disconnect pressure lines from reservoir.
c. Remove pressure reservoir attaching bolts and the reservoir.

To remove right side reservoir, proceed as follows:

a. Disconnect pressure lines from reservoir.
b. Remove pressure reservoir attaching bolts and the reservoir.

5.

Reverse procedure to install. Torque reservoir attaching bolts to 18 ft. lbs., M10 pressure line nuts to 8 ft. lbs. and M14 pressure line nuts to 22 ft.
lbs.
