1.

Inspect entire suspension system for external leaks and correct as necessary.

2.

Move valve unit adjusting switch to N (normal level) position, Fig. 3.

Raise and support vehicle.

4.

Remove attaching screws and the center bulkhead from top of engine compartment.

5.

On all models, disconnect connecting rod from front axle level controller.  Level controller lever must not be moved more than 45° from the
center position. Movement past this point may cause damage to valve balls, resulting in internal regulator leaks.

6.

Remove vent screw from distributor in left side of engine compartment.

7.

Using fittings and adapters, assemble pressure gauge and connect to distributor.

8.

Disconnect pressure lines from left and right side reservoir and cap the lines coupling equipped with vent screw.

9.

Connect pressure gauge hose to left side pressure reservoir.

10.

Move front axle level controller lever to ``L'' (emptying) position.

11.

Start engine and run at idle speed, then move level controller to ``F'' (filling) position and observe pressure gauge. Gauge should indicate 45-57 bar
(653-827 psi) pressure. Never exceed 100 bar (1450 psi) pressure when pressurizing level controller.

12.

Move front axle level controller lever to ``L'' (emptying) position, then stop engine.
