Rear Door Latch: Service and Repair

Removal and installation of door lock on rear door 

Removal 

1  Remove door handle outside complete with bearing bracket.   See: Front Door/Front Door Handle/Front Door Exterior Handle/Service and Repair
2  Remove door inside actuation with locking linkage.   See: Front Door/Front Door Handle/Front Door Interior Handle/Service and Repair

3  Unscrew screws on door lock.
4  Remove door lock on upper door opening.

 
 
Installation 

5  Insert door lock.
6  First tighten the two fastening screws on face side, then those on door inside panel to 8 Nm.
7  For further installation proceed vice versa.
