Oil Pan: Service and Repair
Preceding work:

Air Cleaner: removed.
-
Dipstick guide tube: removed.

Vibration damper: removed. See: Cylinder Block Assembly/Harmonic Balancer - Crankshaft Pulley/Service and Repair

Drive Belt Tensioning device: removed. See: Drive Belts, Mounts, Brackets and Accessories/Drive Belt Tensioner/Service and Repair
Removal/Installation Procedure:

Drain engine oil.
-
take off A/C compressor (22) with lines/wiring connected. Tighten to 21 Nm on reassembly.

Unbolt TDC sensor (25) at timing case cover.

Remove carrier (22a) of A/C compressor with retaining plate (19). On reassembly observe the following torque specifications. M6 bolts: 9 Nm;
M8 bolts: 21 Nm.

Unbolt carrier (2) of alternator at oil sump. Tighten to 21 Nm on reassembly
Installation Note: Align carrier (2) relative to alternator.

Unbolt oil lines (23) and (23a) of automatic transmission at oil sump.

Unbolt exhaust system at exhaust manifold unbolt.

Unbolt exhaust system at carrier at transmission.

Unbolt front engine mounts (9) from below. See: Drive Belts, Mounts, Brackets and Accessories/Engine Mount/Service and Repair

Engine carrier (10a) at rear engine mount (10): unbolt, bolt on. See: Drive Belts, Mounts, Brackets and Accessories/Engine Mount/Service and
Repair

Attach engine hoist to front and rear engine lifting eyes.
-
Adjust engine hoist so that engine is raised evenly at front and rear.
-
Raise engine.
