A  Brake disc, fixed caliper up to 08/85 
B  Brake disc, floating caliper

On vehicles with fixed calipers installed up to 08/85 only install ventilated brake discs with diameter of 278 mm marked with a groove on the
circumference.
The brake discs on vehicles with floating calipers installed up to 08/85 have a diameter of 286 mm. 
Since 09/85 all model 126 vehicles have brake discs with a diameter of 300 mm.

Installation Note

Before installing brake discs remove any rust present on the brake disc flange or on the front wheel hub (69). 
Lightly coat fitted seat of front wheel flange with heat-resistant permanent lubricant (Molykote paste "U", Molykote paste G Rapid, Liqui-Moly
paste 36). 
Replacement brake discs are protected against corrosion with nitro-cellulose paint. For this reason the corrosion protection on these discs must be
removed and the discs degreased before installation. This can be accomplished best with a high-pressure hot water cleaning unit. Observe safety
instructions of unit manufacturer.
