Inspection of steering locks returned under warranty has revealed that incorrect installation of the lock during repair jobs causes it to jam, rendering it
unusable. Therefore, the following guidelines must be observed during removal/installation of the steering lock. In the future, warranty claims for
jammed steering locks will be rejected.

The steering lock can only be installed with the lock cylinder in position "1" (Figure 2). In position "1", the rectangular recess in the driver (48,
Figure 1) is parallel with the steering lock axis, allowing the lock pin (39, arrow) to be pushed in. The electrical ignition/starter switch (S2/1,
Figure 1) must be mounted on the steering lock for installation.
