Install surround (5) 

coat adhesive rubber lip with soapsuds, first slide in surround at the top (arrow) and press in, whilst pressing to one side and pressing the glass
forwards as for the removal of the inner panelling.

Self-tapping screws (figure 6) 

screw in (4 pieces).

Reinstall in opposite order.

Rear Door

Preliminary work:
Removal and installation of outer sealing bar. See: Doors, Hood and Trunk/Doors/Front Door/Front Door Weatherstrip/Service and
Repair/Remove/Install Sealing Rail/Outside 

Window rail (3) 

partially remove.

Body-bound rivet (4) on surround (1) 

remove.

Screws (2, 4 pieces) on surround (1) 

unscrew.

Surround (1) 

remove, by first pulling surround (1) downwards and tilting outwards at the top. Then remove surround (1) from the window shaft upwards.

Reinstall in opposite order.

NOTE:

Surround 1 = 1st version 

installed up to approx. 03/92.

Surround 2 = 2nd version 

installed as of approx. 03/92.
