MODIFIED FRONT ARMREST FOR MODEL YEAR 1994

For Model Year 1994, the lower section of the front armrest has been modified in design. The modified version, part no. 140 970 03 31, supersedes the
previous version, part no. 140 970 75 30, and may be installed in model year 1993 vehicles without further modification should replacement become
necessary. The PDC's will only supply the modified version, after stock is exhausted on the previous version.

INSTALLATION OF MODEL YEAR 1994 ARMREST INTO MODEL YEAR 1993 VEHICLE EQUIPPED WITH CELLULAR TELEPHONE
(CTEL)

Should the armrest in a model year 1993 vehicle equipped with a Mercedes-Benz cellular telephone require replacement, the cellular telephone handset,
cradle and coil cord must be replaced as well, due to the different interior dimensions of the Model year 1994 armrest. A spring has been added to dress
the coil cord properly into the armrest compartment.

Installation procedure

1.

Open armrest and place cradle inside compartment. The front edge of the cradle must touch the front wall of the armrest, and the two holes in the
cradle must be centered over the small pre-punched holes (arrows, Figure 1) in the armrest floor (use a good shop lamp to locate holes).

2.

Attach cord spring to notches on underside of cradle (Figure 2).

3.

Attach cradle and cord spring to armrest (arrows, Figure 2) using two M14x14 pan head tapping screws. Cover screws with rubber caps with white
stripe facing downward.
