Fan Clutch: Service and Repair
Removal and Installation

Take off fan shroud ring (7) on fan shroud, place over fan, fit on.

Fit on counter-holder special tool No. 603 589 00 40 00 (01), remove.

Slacken bolt (1) with hexagon socket special tool No. 103 589 01 09 00, tighten with torque wrench special tool No. 001 589 72 21 00 to: 45 Nm.

Unscrew bolt (1) with key special tool No. 120 589 14 07 00, screw on.

Unbolt viscous fan clutch (3) from fan (2), bolt on.
Tighten to: 10 Nm.
CAUTION: The cast part number of the fan (2) must be positioned at the front (radiator side).
