3. Install shop made special tool (5, Figure 1) behind holding nut (6, Figure 1) turning nut until tool (washer) is fully seated. Install nut with thick side

positioned towards camshaft.

4. Install camshaft sprocket (13, Figure 1) over adjustment piston (14, Figure 1). Match position of splines.

5. Hold camshaft sprocket to flange and remove special tool (5, Figure 1).

6. Install cover (12, Figure 1) and nut (6, Figure 1) and torque to 65 Nm.

Note:

Mild steel or aluminum are suggested as materials for the special tool. A washer of similar dimensions may be substituted for the shop-made special
tool.
