Disconnect and seal engine oil lines and bracket from oil pan.

15.

Disconnect and seal hydraulic lines on tandem pump.

16.

Remove oil pressure sensor (B5).

Tightening torque: 15 Nm.

17.

Remove screw securing suction/discharge line to manifold.

Tightening torque: 23 Nm.

18.

Disconnect 3-pole connector (A9X1) on A/C compressor.

19.

Remove suction/discharge line from engine block by removing bolt (9).

20.

Remove bolts (7).

Tightening torque: 23 Nm.

Remove A/C compressor.

22.

Remove manifold. Remove shipping plate from remanufactured unit only after releasing pressure via the schrader valve. Install manifold and new
O-rings onto remanufactured unit.

23.

Correct oil level in compressor (compensate for oil loss if additional components were replaced).

24.

Reinstall in reverse sequence.

Note:

If clutch must also be replaced, see section H.

25.

Replace receiver/drier (SMS, Job No. 83-540).

26.

Evacuate and recharge A/C system. Run engine at idle for approximately four minutes and check for proper function and leaks (SMS, Job No.
83-508).
