Models with with electrically adjustable steering column, if there are complaints of a grinding noise, check distance (b) between locking ring (70h)
and bracket (85).

Dimension "b" on upper bracket on jacket tube: 30.00 to 30.5 mm.

Check horn/airbag clock spring contact (A45) for damage

NOTE:
-

The upper (32f) and lower sections (32g) of the contact spiral are clipped together and can only be separated due to the effect of excess forces
or defective assembly. If this is the case, wind the contact spiral up carefully and assemble with care, not pinching or kinking the spiral (32e).

Do not use oil or grease

INSTALLATION

Install in reverse order, noting the following:
a. Tighten clamping screw for upper bracket on jacket to: 5 Nm.
b. Push on horn/airbag clock spring contact (A45) as far as the stop; the recess must align with the fixing lug (arrows).
c. If the horn/airbag clock spring contact was rotated, e.g. when the steering coupling was removed, then adjust center position of horn/airbag
