Accumulator: Service and Repair

Pressure Reservoir

1.

Remove bleed screw from leveling valve and drain system fluid into a suitable container.

2.

Disconnect and plug pressure lines from reservoir.

3.

Remove reservoir attaching bolts and the reservoir.

4.

Reverse procedure to install. Torque reservoir attaching bolts to 15 ft. lbs., reservoir thread connection to 33 ft. lbs., pressure hose coupling nut to
15 ft. lbs. and pressure hose-to-reservoir ring fitting screw to 32 ft. lbs. Prior to discarding an old pressure reservoir, carefully release
pressure from reservoir with bleed screw on end of reservoir, then remove screw. If reservoir is not equipped with a bleed screw,
carefully drill a .197 inch (5mm) hole into dome side of reservoir until all gas is expelled.
