Removal and Installation

Preparation

-

Transmission removed.

Overview

-

Install retaining lock for crankshaft/ring gear, remove, refer to Engine.

-

Unbolt position sensor (3) of ignition control unit with bracket (1), bolt on (refer to step 2 below).

-

Unbolt stretch bolts (19), replace ( refer to steps 3 and 4 below).

-

Take off driven plates (17) and (18), fit on.

-

Note installation position and installation order, refer to steps 5 and 6 below.

NOTE:

-

Driven plates and ring gear are balanced individually and can be replaced without balancing.

-

The tapped holes in the crankshaft flange are drilled through.

-

If the bolts are removed and the engine is filled, engine oil flows out of the tapped holes.

Procedures

1. Remove retaining lock for crankshaft/ring gear, install (03-6000).
