Seats - Front Power Seat Switch Replacement

SUBJECT:

REPLACEMENT OF SWITCH FOR FRONT POWER SEATS (SOLDERED TYPE) MODEL 126

If a power seat switch, soldered to the wiring harness (Figure 1) is defective, it can now be replaced with a switch and plug assembly.
Procedure

1.

Disconnect negative (-) battery terminal.

2.. Remove door panel and peel back the plastic sheet in the area of the power seat switch.

Unscrew switch, remove rear cover of switch (Figure 1) and unsolder the electrical wires.

Use the pin socket layout and wire color diagrams (Figures 2 and 3) to solder the appropriate size pin socket (2.5 or 4.0 mm) to the proper wire
and insert each into the plug as shown.
