Air Bag Control Module: Removal and Replacement

NOTE:  The second type is distinguished by:

Modified arrangement of lead to control unit under heater housing towards front passenger compartment on right.

-

Changed location of red, 10-pin plug connector from footrest to panel situated below footrest.

Removal:

1. Turn ignition key to position "0", disconnect and insulate negative battery terminal. 
2. Remove floor mat on right side of driver's footwell.
3. Remove footrest from bulkhead (arrowed).
