Type 1:
NOTE: Type 2 is distinguished by:

Modified arrangement of red, 10-pin plug from footrest to panel situated below footrest.
-
Modified arrangement of buffer battery/reserve power source from footrest to panel situated below footrest.
Removal:
1. Turn ignition key to position 0, disconnect and insulate negative battery terminal.
2. Remove floormat from front passenger's footwell.
3. Remove footrest from bulkhead (arrrowed).
