Ball Joint: Service and Repair
Replacement of Supporting Joint
Removal
1. Remove steering knuckle, unscrew cover plate. See: Front Steering Knuckle/Service and Repair
2. Knock supporting joint with suitable mandrel out of steering knuckle while clamping steering knuckle into vise by means of light alloy laws.
Note: The supporting joint is destroyed when knocked out.
Installation
3. Check steering knuckle.
