Installation Note: The rear contact surface of the oil pan must be aligned to the rear contact surface of the crankcase. If the oil pan is not aligned to
the crankcase, this may result in noise and vibration problems.
27. Remove oil pan down and forward.
Installation Note: Replace oil pan gasket. Apply sealant 002 989 45 20 (Omnivisc) in the rear area of the oil pan and on the crankcase.
28. Install in the reverse order, observing tightening specifications and all installation notes.
29. Run engine, check for leaks.
