Rear Door Exterior Handle: Service and Repair

Removal and installation of outside door handle on rear door 

Removal 

1.  Push out closing cap and unscrew screw underneath.

2.  Knock door handle forward by a blow with ball of thumb or if required with a suitable piece of wood and a hammer and remove.

Installation 

3.  Turn front fastening screw into door handle approximately up to sheet thickness of outside door panel.
4.  Introduce door handle at front fastening point.
5.  Introduce door handle at the rear.
6.  Push door handle to the rear.  If the preload between outside door panel and front fastening screw is not enough, adjust screw accordingly.
