Under extreme climatic or environmental conditions, it is possible for corrosion to occur under the paint surface of the A-pillar moldings, causing the
paint to blister. If this condition exists, replace the ornamental moldings with the improved moldings. Refinishing the old moldings will not alleviate this
situation and will lead to a recurrence.

As of December 1987, the A-pillar moldings are chromated and primed with a powder coating to prevent corrosion of the underlying base metal.
Under extreme climatic or environmental conditions, it is possible for corrosion to occur under the paint surface of the A-pillar moldings, causing the
paint to blister. If this condition exists, replace the ornamental moldings with the improved moldings. Refinishing the old moldings will not alleviate this
situation and will lead to a recurrence.
