Fuel Cooler: Description and Operation
Fuel Cooler Assembly
The fuel cooler has been installed to reduce the formation of vapor bubbles in the fuel system at high ambient temperatures. The cooler is located in the
refrigerant return line between the evaporator and the AC compressor. With the engine running, excess fuel from the fuel distributor returns
depressureized through the fuel cooler on its way to the fuel tank. As long as the AC compressor is running fuel will be cooled by the air conditioning
system.
