Refer to Fig. 3, for power steering pump service.

1.

Install pressure relief valve to volume control valve, then install compression ring (50), valve cone (51) and valve ball (52).

2.

Install volume control valve (32) and compression spring (30).

3.

Install closing plug (59) with new sealing ring.

4.

Press radial seal ring (13) to housing.

5.

Install driveshaft (11) to housing.

6.

Install pressure plate (14) at drive end with recesses toward rotor.

7.

Install cylinder pins (20).

8.

Install rotor (7) to driveshaft with chamfer on I.D. of the rotor toward pressure plate at drive end.

9.

Install locking ring (18) to driveshaft groove.

10.

Position cam ring (6) on cylinder pins (20), ensuring proper cam location.

11.

Install blade (16) with rounded metallic side toward cam rings in rotor.

12.

Install O-ring (19) to housing.

13.

Install pressure plate (3).

14.

Install O-ring (21), then position compression ring (5) on pressure plate (3).

15.

Install cover (23), then install circlip (22).

16.

Install filter pack (4).

17.

Install spring (43), sleeve (60), then compress slightly, then install new locking nut (61).
