Determine the color of the pin housing. If the pin housing is blue, use the ELO pin contact (Figure 3). If the pin housing is black, use the
MQS contact (Figure 3).

b.

Cut the contact off the unused wire and properly terminate.

c.

Insert pin into slot 14 of pin housing.

d.

Replace connector lock over pin housing.

e.

Route remaining wire along vehicle harness (A203 540 85 33) toward left trunk well to the linear compensator. Wire tie where necessary.

f.

Detach linear compensator connector from linear compensator.

g.

Locate opposite side of repair harness where female and male linear compensator power connectors are positioned.

h.

Connect vehicle harness male linear compensator connector into female connector of repair harness and then connect male connector or
repair harness into linear compensator (Figure 4).

Test repair

a.

With Tele Aid module unplugged and phone in the cradle, select TEL mode on COMAND or Audio 20 head unit. Note the signal strength
bars on display.

b.

Turn off COMAND or Audio 20.

Plug in Tele-Aid harness into the Tele-Aid module (N123/4).
