4. Perform one of the following.

-

If seam is open or water leaks out of opening once stop plug is removed: Proceed to Subject B to seal seam.

-

If seam is closed and water does not leak from opening: Reinstall stop plug; this campaign has been completed.

B. SEAL SEAM IN SPARE TIRE WELL

1. Seal seam between front edge of spare tire well and crossmember (arrows).

Apply sealant using suitable brush.

2. Generously apply preservation agent to resealed area through crossmember opening (A).

NOTE:  Ensure the area is clean and dry prior to applying preservation agent.

3. Reinstall stop plug.
