Score the tab several times along its base (Figure 1).

Use side cutters to finish cutting through and removing the tab from the housing.

NOTICE!

Excessive force will crack or break plastic.

Applying excessive force while removing the tab can crack or break the plastic housing.

Do not use excessive force when removing the tab from the housing.

2.

Insert the microswitch (Figure 2) for the trunk lid lock into the cavity in the left side of the housing.

3.

Cut off a 1,900 mm length of brown wire.

4.

Strip off 1/4 inch insulation from the ends of the brown wire.
