8. The trailer detection control module (N28/1) is clipped on the rear of the rear SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/2) into an
existing strap and secured with a self-tapping 6 x 12 mm torx bolt.
9. Connect the 16-pin and 6-pin couplings to the trailer hitch control module (N28/1).
The lever must be pushed in the direction of the arrow to lock the 16-pin coupling.
10. Position trailer hitch socket (X58) in socket carrier (10a) and push socket housing (10) onto trailer hitch socket (X58) and seal with sleeve (10b).
Ensure that the sealing fold of the grommet (10b) bears against the socket housing (10) without creases.

11. Fasten trailer hitch socket (X58) to trailer hitch bracket with three 4.8 x 32 mm self-tapping screws.
