Model 219.375/376 Front Seat Noise Complaints

If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles regarding noises from the front seats, check if the noise fits any of the six descriptions listed
below and if yes, proceed as described.

A.

Noise when the load on the backrest frame changes (Model 203 only)

B.

Noise between seat frame brackets and seat cushion frame

C.

Noise from lower trim cover end (Model 211 and 219 only)

D.

Noise from perimeter of sidebag (Model 211 and 219 only)

E.

Rubbing noise between seat cushion and trim cover (Model 211 only)

F.

Noise from lumbar support in backrest at subfreezing temperatures (Code 403, 404, 433 or 434 only)

Note: 

Replacement of seat components for any of the noise complaints in issues A to E is not permitted. The claim in these cases will be debited.

A.

Noise When Load on Backrest Frame Changes

1.

Remove backrest cover. Refer to WIS document AR91.10-P-1910P.

2.

Disconnect padding support grid from the 4 suspension points (Figure 1), 2 on the right side and 2 on the left side.
