Harmonic Balancer - Crankshaft Pulley: Service and Repair

Remove/Install Belt Pulley/Vibration Damper

Remove engine compartment paneling

Remove front air filter cover or engine hood

Remove viscous fan (1)

NOTE:  Right-hand thread!

Fan shroud (3)

Remove poly V-belt (2)

Unscrew central bolt (4)

NOTE:  Installation:  Measure length of center bolt (bolt head contact surface to end of shank). Bolt may be used up to max. shank length of 78
mm.

Take off vibration damper (5)

NOTE:
-

Installation:  Oil thread of center bolt.

Location of vibration damper.

-

Installation:  A particular installation position is given through the parallel key!

Install in the reverse order.

Check oil viscosity after performing engine test run.
