AR83.25-P-1125P Remove/Install Control Module For Automatic Heater (HEAT)

- except CODE (580) Automatic air conditioning
- except CODE (581) Comfort automatic air conditioning

DANGER:

Risk of explosion from electrolytic gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns from swallowing battery electrolyte. Injury hazard and
danger of burning skin and eyes when handling battery acid or handling damaged lead-acid batteries.

No fire, sparks, naked flames or smoking.

-

Wear acid protection gloves, clothes and goggles. Pour battery electrolyte only into suitable and appropriately marked containers.

Disconnect ground cable of battery

Remove cover from center console

Pull HEAT pushbutton control module (N18) out of the cover on the center console

NOTE:  The HEAT pushbutton control module (N18) is not bolted in the cover on the center console, only inserted.

CAUTION:  Installation:  The HEAT pushbutton control module (N18) must audibly engage.

Install in the reverse order

Synchronize actuator motors for automatic heater

NOTE:  Only when replacing the pushbutton control module via STAR diagnostic tool.

Read out diagnostic trouble code memory and erase.
