Component Identification

Function sequence

1. The STH heater unit (except model 220) or the STH or HB [ZUH] heater unit (model 220) operate in partial load or full load mode. The green or

red indicator lamp in the STH switch (N72s12 or S46) comes on. The circulation pump (A6m1) delivers the coolant via the heat exchanger (2) and
the heating and cooling circuits. Combustion is stable, the combustion air blower (A6m2) and the STH fuel metering pump or the STH or HB
[ZUH] fuel metering pump (Y23) deliver at their minimum or maximum speed and output.

2. At a coolant temperature over 30 °C and below 72 °C the blower motor delivers preheated air into the interior; it is activated by the control and

operating unit (N18, N22 or N22/7).

3. The end of heater operation is automatically triggered by the STH control unit (A6n1) or the STH or HB [ZUH] control unit (A6n1) once the

maximum heating period has expired, either manually by means of the STH switch (N72s12 or S46) or using the STH radio remote control
transmitter (A8/3).

On model 230 as from 1.6.04 when heater operation is ended using the STH radio remote control transmitter (A8/3) visual feedback is given on
the STH radio remote control transmitter (A8/3). If the radio connection is OK, the LED illuminates with a steady red light for approx. 2 seconds
after the time of signal transmission. If the radio connection is not OK, the LED flashes red for approx. 2 seconds.

4. The STH control unit or the STH or HB [ZUH] control unit (A6n1) actuates the heater run-on to cool the STH heater unit or the STH or HB

[ZUH] heater unit and for flushing the combustion chamber.
The STH fuel metering pump or the STH or HB [ZUH] fuel metering pump (Y23) is switched off and the control and operating unit (N18, N22 or
N22/7) actuated with the "blower Off" signal via CAN-B (CAN-B).
