Oil Filter Housing: Service and Repair

Remove/Install Oil Filter Housing

Shown On Engine 112 Without Air Pump

Remove/Install

DANGER:

Risk of death, Death may result if vehicle slips or topples from the lifting platform.

-

Align vehicle between the columns of the hydraulic hoist and position the four support plates below the hoist support points specified by
the vehicle manufacturer.

Unclip cover at face end of engine

Model 211, 220, 230.475

2.1 Remove engine trim panel or air cleaner

-

Except model 170.466, 203.065/265, 211.061/065/070, 230.475.

NOTE:  Detach engine cover or air cleaner by lifting vertically up and off the cylinder head covers.

2.2 Remove air cleaner housing
3.1 Remove fan shroud (2) with electric fan (1)

Except Model 211.061/065/070

3.2 Remove electric fan (1)

NOTE:  On model 163 unscrew bolts at bottom of fan shroud (2).

Unscrew oil filter housing cover (4)

Unscrew bolts of oil-water heat exchanger (9) at oil filter housing (5)

NOTE:  Do not pinch off coolant lines.

Unscrew bolt of oil filter housing (8)

Remove oil filter housing (5)

NOTE:  Installation:  Replace sealing ring of oil filter housing (6).

Install in the reverse order
