Air Register: Description and Operation
Rear Ventilation
After passing through the passenger compartment the air exits the vehicle through the rear vent.
Louver-type flaps in the rear vent open from the pressure of the air flowing through the vehicle, allowing it to flow out.
If a vacuum is present in the vehicle, resulting from driving with windows or the sliding, roof open, the louvers are closed automatically by the force of'
gravity, preventing exhaust gases, dust and moisture from being sucked in.
