Modification Notes
Removing, installing

Remove connector cover on right side of transmission
NOTE: Installation: When installing, insert lug on cover at the top.

Remove hydraulic pump cover on left side of transmission

Unplug hydraulic pump connector (1)
4.1 Switch on ignition and shift through all gears until transmission is pressureless
NOTE: Read out and check hydraulic pressure using DAS.
4.2 Reduce hydraulic pressure using DAS
DANGER:

Risk of explosion from electrolytic gas. Risk of poisoning and caustic burns from swallowing battery electrolyte. Risk of injury with caustic
burns to eyes and skin from battery electrolyte or from handling damaged lead-acid batteries

No fire, sparks, naked flames or smoking. Wear acid-resistant gloves, clothing and eye protection. Pour battery electrolyte only into suitable
and appropriately marked containers.

Disconnect ground cable from battery
NOTE: Installation: Code radio, set clock, normalize power windows and set timer in vehicles with stationary heater.

Twist hydraulic pump plug (7) through 45 degrees and remove from bracket with plug fastener (8)
7
Unlock plug fastener (8) and pull off hydraulic pump plug (7)
NOTE: Only if replacing the hydraulic pump.
