Noises from Headrest

If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles of noises from the headrest, this may be caused by chafed wires. The blue covering on the
vertical wires of the flat spring may show signs of wearing marks at the connection points of the horizontal wires (Figures 1 and 2). Follow the
instructions below to correct.

1.

Detach the seat-back lining per WIS AR91.10-P-1910CW.

2.

Apply antifriction agent (A000 989 36 60) to the nodes of the spring mat wires. This is also included in the Noise Dampening Service Kit (A000
580 03 50).
