Risk of explosion poisoning and caused by solvent vapors and gasses. Risk of injury to skin and eyes when working with anticorrosion
agents

Protect cans from direct sunlight and temperatures above 50 °C

Never spray anticorrosion agents on flames or glowing hot objects and keep them well away from all potential sources of ignition. Use them only in
well-ventilated rooms; wear respiratory protection.

Repair Materials

1. Remove expansion rivets (9) on vehicle and front rocker panel mount (see arrow) on vehicle.

Expansion rivets (9) are still required. Vehicle's own front rocker panel mount is no longer required.

2. Remove protective foil (3) on adhesive strips on front mud guards (1) at corners, as shown in figure, and position so that ends of protective foil (3)

extend beyond outer edge of front mud guards (1).

Operation step 2 is omitted on front mud guards (1) not equipped with adhesive strips with protective foil (3).

3. Protect inner front fender edge against corrosion in area of clips (5) of front mud guards (1) with wax preservative.
4. Clean front fender in area of front mud guards (1) with specified cleaning agent.

Front fender must be dry, free of dust and grease in area of front mud guards (1).

5. Position front mud guard (1) on front fender as shown in picture and fasten with expansion rivets (9) and clips (5).

The clips (5) for the front mud guards (1) have a barb on one side only and must be installed with the barb side toward the front mud guards (1).

6. Fasten front mud guard (1) on plastic inner fender with self-tapping bolts (10) as shown in picture.

If necessary, predrill holes for self-tapping bolts (10) with smaller diameter. Ensure that no other components are damaged when drilling the holes.
