Complaint:
Seat belt can only be pulled out with great effort. at the same time a noise can be heard from the reversible reel tensioner gearing.
Cause:
The customer continuously pulled on the seat belt strap while adjusting the fit of the belt after buckling up (to reduce the slack). This caused the drive of
the reversible reel tensioner to remain engaged.
Remedy:
Insert the seat belt into the belt buckle with increased effort and switch on the ignition "circuit 15 ON". This causes the belt adjustment sequence to be
repeated and the drive of the reversible reel tensioner disengages properly. On customer request the "belt adjustment" function can be deactivated using
the multifunction buttons on the steering wheel. See operator's manual "Switching seat belt adjustment on and off".
Do not replace the seat belt!
