Remove/Install Front Brake Control Cable

Remove/Install

DANGER:

-

Lethal injuries are possible if vehicle slips off of lifting platform

-

Align vehicle between the columns of the hydraulic hoist and position the four support plates below the hoist support points specified by
the vehicle manufacturer.

Raise vehicle with lifting platform

Remove cover panel below rear seat cushion

Loosen adjusting nut (89)

Detach brake cable (85) at intermediate lever (91) and detach at intermediate lever housing using snap-release tool (043)

Remove front left floor covering

Remove cover below instrument panel

Detach cover (71a) of parking brake pedal (75)

Detach brake cable (85) from parking brake pedal (75)

Remove heat shield of exhaust system.

Unclip brake cable (85) and remove

NOTE:  Destroy clips that are difficult to move when removing cable.

Install in the reverse order

Inspecting

Check version of pedal assembly

Adjust parking brake
