Radiator: Procedures

Removing and Installing Radiator

Remove electric fan

DANGER:
-

Risk of injury to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolant spray. Risk of poisoning from swallowing coolant.

Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90 degrees C. Open cap slowly and release the pressure. Do not pour
coolant into beverage bottles.

Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and eye protection.

Drain coolant

Take off coolant line radiator -> Coolant pump (1) at radiator (2)

Use a screwdriver to push back clamp (3) until it locks in place.

NOTE:  Installation:  Replace O-ring (4) of coolant line radiator-> Coolant pump (1).

Take off coolant line radiator -> thermostat housing (5) at radiator (2)

Use a screwdriver to push back clamp (6) until it locks in place.

NOTE:  Installation:  Replace O-ring (7) of coolant line radiator -> thermostat housing (5)

Detach bracket (8) of ATF lines (9, 10)\

Only on models fitted with transmission 722.6.

Detach ATF lines (9, 10) at radiator (2)
-

Only on models fitted with transmission 722.6.

NOTE:  Installation:  Check clamps (11), replace if necessary. Replace O-rings of ATF lines (9, 10).

Press ATF line (10) out of bracket (12)
