Taillamps and License Plate Lamps Constantly Illuminated, Fuel Gauge Incorrect and/or Central Locking Nonfunctional Due to Rear SAM Malfunction

If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles with any or all of the following symptoms, the Rear Signal Acquisition and Actuation
Module (SAM) may be malfunctioning.

The taillamps and license plate lamps constantly illuminated when ignition (circuit 15) is on

Fuel gauge incorrect

^

Central Locking nonfunctional

The following list identifies the affected control unit part numbers:

Inspect the Rear SAM and determine if the part number matches any of the part numbers listed below.

Access the Rear SAM as per the following WIS documents:

203.0 = AR54.21-P-1259P

^

203.2 = AR54.21-P-1259PS

^

203.7 = AR54.21-P-1259PC

If the part number matches the above list, replace the Rear SAM as per the above WIS documents.
