AR54.21-P-1259PS Remove/Install Sam With Fuse and Relay Box, Rear

DANGER:

suffering caustic burns from battery electrolyte or from contact with damaged lead acid batteries

No fire, sparks, open flames or smoking

-

Wear acid-resistant gloves, clothing and glasses Pour battery electrolyte only into suitable and appropriately marked containers

Disconnect ground cable of battery

CAUTION:  Do not connect quiescent current retention unit due to risk of short circuit

Unlock and remove left stowage compartment

NOTE:  Press lock for left stowage compartment (1)

Unscrew screw (2)

Pry off and move bracket (3) from rear SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/2)

NOTE: Move bracket (3) until rear SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/2) is freely accessible

Unlock and remove rear SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/2)

NOTE:
-

Do not damage the retaining lugs (arrows)

-

Unlock by tilting through 90 degrees towards the spare wheel recess

Unlock and unplug connectors (4)

NOTE:
-

Removal: Disconnect lines at the control module and fuse and relay box

-

Installation Connect cables to control module and fuse and relay box

Remove rear SAM control module with fuse and relay module (N10/2)

NOTE: Check fuse and relay assignment when replacing
