If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles of steering wheel imperfections such as crimps, bursts or scrunches felt on the outside
surface of the steering wheel, this may be caused by foam (used in the steering wheel manufacturing process) escaping the mold and creating bursts
(Figure 1 and 2, A) on the outside surface. These bursts or scrunches are not entirely removed during finishing work. To remedy, very carefully remove
any such imperfections on the steering wheel (Figure 1, A) using a sharp utility knife (Figure 3, B).

Note:

Extreme care must be exercised when removing steering wheel imperfections. Use only a new, sharp blade of the utility knife when cutting off any
imperfections refer to Figure 3. Do not cut steering wheel (Figure 4) or cut with a blade at an angle (Figure 4). If it is determined that it is impossible to
remove steering wheel imperfections, the steering wheel should be replaced.
