TRUNK LID VALET LOCK RETROFIT

WARNING

Do not disconnect the negative battery cable. Extensive reprogramming requirements are otherwise necessary. Wiring harnesses are therefore
electrically active.

Severe vehicle damage, personal injury, or death from electrical shock could result. Exercise extreme caution while executing these installation
instructions. Keep the ignition and radio powered OFF through the final test.

Note:

Retrofitting the trunk lid valet lock is a customer pay matter. Do not submit a warranty claim for retrofitting the trunk lid valet lock.

NOTICE!

Incorrect installation of connectors can result in damaged, bent pins.
Damaged, bent pins will result in component malfunction or failure.
Inspect connectors before and after installation.

A. Preparing For the Installation

1.

Read these installation instructions in their entirety before proceeding.

2.

Unpack and compare the installation parts against the Parts Information list in Section E.

3.

Open the trunk.

4.

Remove the trunk lid paneling.

Remove the trunk lid lock.

6.

Remove the trunk paneling on the left side.

7.

Remove the rear SAM control unit with fuse and relay module.
