Antenna (GPS/Phone/SDARS) on Panoramic Roof (Code 413)
If you receive customer reports in the above model vehicles that the antenna is loose or the roof panel is deformed, strengthen the aluminum
sliding roof panel as per the below instructions to resolve. The reinforcement sleeve and enlarged antenna cutout are installed on vehicles with
panoramic sunroof (code 413) as of the specified chassis numbers.
1.
Lower the headliner to gain access to the antenna connectors.
2.
Disconnect all three antenna leads.
3.
Remove the antenna by removing the TORX fastener which attaches the clip to the antenna.
4.
Inspect the roof panel and determine if reinstalling the antenna with the sleeve will repair the antenna. If the roof is extremely deformed, the rear
section of the panoramic sunroof must be replaced.
5.
Reinstall the antenna mounting clip, but do not tighten the TORX fastener completely.
6.
Position the sleeve under the roof panel, route the leads through the hole in the roof panel and the hole in the center of the sleeve.
7.
Orient the sleeve (Figure 1) with the notch towards front of the vehicle.
8.
Place the antenna on the roof panel and push the sleeve over the clip until it clicks (Figure 2).
