Instructions For Handling R134a Refrigerant

The safety refrigerant R134a is colorless and odorless.

At normal temperatures it is not toxic, not flammable and not explosive regardless of the mixture ratio with air.

R134a refrigerant may only be used on air conditioning systems approved for this refrigerant.

R134a refrigerant may not be mixed with other refrigerants such as R12.
 
R134a refrigerant does not contain any fluoro-chloro-hydrocarbons (FCHC's) and, in contrast to other refrigerants is no dangerous for the environment at
normal temperature, particularly in reference to the earth ozone jacket.

Nevertheless this refrigerant should only be evacuated with suitable evacuation, treatment and charging equipment with its own disposal and storage
capabilities.
